Charles B. Holmes, MD, MPH, FIDSA, a physician and global health leader with more than 25 years of experience, brings expertise in public health policy, strengthening health systems, and the introduction and scale-up of health innovations. As Director of the Center for Innovation in Global Health at Georgetown University and Senior Advisor to Gates Medical Research Institute, he works at the intersection of science, policy, and implementation to improve health outcomes globally. His leadership experience includes serving as Chief Medical Officer and Deputy U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator at PEPFAR, Chief Executive Officer of CIDRZ in Zambia, and senior roles across academia, government, and industry. His experience building partnerships across countries, institutions, and sectors positions him to support GHIAA’s mission of advancing equitable and sustainable access to health innovations worldwide.
